DESCRIPTION
Day 1 (-/-/D)
Your car will be ready on arrival at the Punta Arenas Airport.
You head towards Puerto Natales (254 km), a cruise ship and ferry terminal
for the region and stay for one night in the beautiful small hotel
Tres Pasos on the way to the N. P. Torres del Paine.
Day 2 (B/-/D)
Today you move northwards today into the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, where you will see guanacos (Patagonian Camelid), ñandús (Patagonian Emus) and flamingos, all living in the wild. You stay for the next two days in the lodge of Estancia Cerro Guido, which is at present, one of the last remaining establishments that still retains many of the typical characteristics of the period when the Sociedad Explotadora of Tierra del Fuego was functioning. The Estancia has 60.000 ha and about 50.000 sheep.
Day 3 (B/-/D)
Another day for different activities in the N. P. Torres del Paine such as navigation to the famous Glacier Grey, trekking, bird watching or horse riding in the area.
Day 4 (B/-/D)
After breakfast you head southwards and visit the Mylodon Cave Natural
Monument, a natural formation 150 meters above sea level. The site´s
scientific interest started in 1895 due to the archeological founding
consisting of skin, bones and other parts of an unknown animal. This animal
was identified as Milodon (Mylodon darwini), a large herbivore extinct
in the late Pleistocene (8.000 to 10.000 years B.P.). After a visit of
the historical and industrial museum Puerto Bories and a small brake in
Puerto Natales you continue to Hostería
Río Penitente, one of the most beautiful old farm houses in
Victorian style, where you will stay for your next night.
Day 5 (B/-/-)
An early departure takes you across the Patagonian plains to Río
Verde and Seno Skyring. Then on to the spectacular Estancia Skyring,
where you will stay for your next two nights. If there is no room availability
you will stay at the typical Patagonian Hostel Río Verde.
Day 6 (B/-/-)
Day off for different activities such as trekking, fishing, bird watching or enjoy your day at the Estancia and explore this spectacular area.
Day 7 (B/-/-)
Today you leave to Punta Arenas Airport to drop off your car and catch your flight either to Puerto Montt or Santiago.
